Hotel Punkaharju is for sale again

The fate of Hotel Punkaharju is still a mystery.

Hotel Punkaharju, run by Saimi Hoyer, is up for auction again. The starting price is 300,000 euros, which is significantly less than in the summer, when the starting price was 450,000 euros.

So far, no offer has been made for the hotel.

An offer of 745,000 euros was made for Hotel Punkaharju in the summer, which was backed by an entrepreneurial couple Mikko Ranta-Huitti and Hannu Huitti. The men run the Taidelaitur located in Punkaharju.

– We would like Hotel Punkaharju to be operational next summer. It was thought that we should also participate in the talks. Yes, we have the idea that the name would return to Valtionhotelli, Hannu Huitti told Iltalehte in the summer.

In September, it turned out that the deal had gone wrong. The entrepreneurial couple had withdrawn their offer. Ranta-Huitti did not tell Iltalehti a more specific reason, but described the transaction process as interesting.

Long process

Saimi Hoyer, known as an entrepreneur, said in April that Hotelli Punkaharju will be filed for bankruptcy. The background of the hotel is a company called Punkaharju Luontomatkailu Oy.

Hoyer has not hidden his disappointment with the bankruptcy news.

– It’s my third child. A life’s work, which has been done over the course of seven years, Hoyer commented on his experiences to Iltalehti in June.

The company’s bankruptcy application was harsh reading. The biggest creditors were, for example, Suur-Savo Osuuspankki with EUR 840,620 available, Työeläkehtiö Elo with EUR 128,000 available and the Tax Administration with EUR 113,000 available.

Hoyer’s personal debt to the bank is 100,000 euros. He opened up about his financial situation to Me Nais this summer.

– During the whole time, I didn’t raise a salary for myself except for certain speaking gigs at the hotel. Everything I have invested in the company remains in the bank. I have renovated and maintained a culturally historically valuable house practically as a charity. It got done, but I paid an awful lot for it, Hoyer said We for Women.

In addition to the hotel business, Saimi Hoyer has worked as a fashion influencer. Tommi Anttonen

Hoyer has hoped that the hotel would still open its doors in the future. He has received many encouraging messages from people who wanted to help the entrepreneur.

– The support that has come from the people of Finland is very moving and encouraging. Finns have urged to look ahead. That’s what an entrepreneur does. Sana is not an entrepreneur for nothing, Hoyer told Iltalehte in May.

Hotel Punkaharju was the first to report on the current situation Stop.
