The creation will soon have a place on the Wall of Fame of the LEGO Fan Village on Place de la Monnaie in Brussels. Emiel and his class are the first to visit the fan village.
“With LEGO we not only build one creation, but also together,” says teacher Heike Vanhaecke of Prizma De Wegwijzer. “Everyone contributes ideas and that is how the nicest buildings are created.”
According to Vincent Andries of the LEGO Group, the entry stood out because of the recognizable effect of Kevin De Bruyne. “He was inspired by existing LEGO football sets, but consciously chose a Belgian player and his great idol,” it says.
The LEGO Fan Village opens its doors on Place de la Monnaie in Brussels from 11 to 15 June. Visitors can take part in football and LEGO activities and admire the winning creations.
