After two passages at Open Vld and one at Lijst Dedecker, the right-liberal Lode Vereeck (58) emerged in June under the banner of Vlaams Belang. Vereeck resigns from the municipal council of Diepenbeek in Limburg and moves back to Antwerp. He did not do business with Jean-Marie Dedecker this summer, although the pieces have now been put together. What is still on Vereeck’s stomach is his dismissal from the University of Hasselt after a complaint about inappropriate behavior. “I am an affiliated trade union member with the VSOA, they have helped me a lot”
