Video released of Joni Mitchell’s first public concert in 20 years

Last year, a folk legend Joni Mitchell79, surprised the American Newport Folk -festival-goers with his first public performance in 20 years, when he took the stage to sing his best-known songs in the company of famous guests.

Now it’s about the performance of the Canadian singer published videoon which Mitchell sings A Case of You -classics together with country musician Brandi Carlile.

The song will be included in the soon to be released At Newport: Featuring the Joni Jam on the live album.

In the video, Mitchell sits in the middle of the stage surrounded by dozens of people. Carlile begins the first verse, which Mitchell joins in to thunderous applause.

Rolling Stone magazine according to Mitchell’s concert at the festival was starred by several musicians, such as Carlile’s bandmates Phil and Tim HanserothWynonna Judd as well as Marcus Mumford.

In 2015, Mitchell suffered a brain aneurysm and withdrew from the public eye for a long time. After recovering, Mitchell has appeared more often in the spotlight, and at the 2022 Grammys, the singer was awarded Person of the Year.
