André Hazes Jr. has lacquer, misses session of compulsory education case: ‘I am in America’

André Hazes Jr. actually seems to think that as a celebrity he is above the law. Not only did he knowingly and willfully violate the compulsory education law, he also did not attend the hearing.

It seems that André Hazes jr. will soon have a note on his criminal record hanging on his pants, because he and Monique Westenberg knowingly violated the compulsory education law at the beginning of last year by taking their son from school for almost two weeks (!) to have a good time. outside of school holidays to travel.

Andrew admits

This is only allowed under strict conditions: firstly, as parents you must not be able to travel for at least two weeks during the regular school holidays because of work, and permission must be obtained from the school director. That was not the case last year: André was mainly busy with rehab and Monique only takes some Insta photos in the garden.

André enters RTL Boulevard moreover, he explicitly did not have permission: “It all went a little differently, so it’s not just like: we keep our child at home for thirteen days and you watch what you do. I received verbal approval and it was rejected a few days before my trip.”

He adds on Radio 538: “Then I said: ‘Yes, but I have already booked everything.’”

No regrets

Although André still has to appear, he has already let the judge know that he has no regrets. Not really useful of course. “Is it stupid? I do not know. It’s not neat, no. But I’m sure because of that journey we are now like this. I have the happiest child on earth, he sees his father and mother happy and that started with that journey.”

He continues: “I can’t say it, but I bear the consequences with a lot of love.” And on the radio: “I indicated: listen, Monique and I are divorced, we really want to make this trip for our son and we continued that. In retrospect, it was the best choice ever.”

Very nice, but that trip to ‘find their shape’ was also just fine during the school holidays. What will the judge think if he shows no remorse?

Not to session

André seems to really care about the whole compulsory education case. He did not even show up for the hearing in May. The reason? Even then he was on one of his many pleasure trips to America. “It was actually on May 8, but then I was in America. It has now apparently been moved to August. I’m going to hear it.”

The folk singer who no longer wants to be a folk singer hopes not to get a criminal record, because then he will have serious problems with his visa applications for the United States. What will he do if he can’t get in anymore? “Then I think I’ll sit and cry in a corner, yes.”

Not above the law

Those who burn their buttocks should sit on the blisters, says RTL Boulevard reporter Aran Bade. “Celebrities don’t live above the law, do they? You must indicate eight weeks in advance that you want to make such a trip. The crucial thing here is that as a parent you cannot go on holiday during that school holiday. That is not the case with André.”

André: “I did read about a month in prison. I hope not. My son happened to hear it with you (on TV at RTL Boulevard, ed.) And he completely panicked man. (…) It is heavyman.”
