Union Berlin: Timo Baumgartl arouses interest in the Bundesliga and Serie A

Union loan ends in summer

Already in winter, Timo Baumgartl was dissatisfied with his game shares at 1. FC Union Berlin – but a premature termination of the loan was out of the question for the Bundesliga club at the time. Since then, however, the 27-year-old central defender has only played three times, has not been nominated for the Europa League and has not been part of the squad in the last three Bundesliga games. So it doesn’t seem unlikely that the paths will part in the summer – just like that Baumgartl will make a new start at regular club PSV Eindhoven. At Union, Baumgartl was a regular employee until his testicular cancer diagnosis in spring 2022.
