The center of Alkmaar will not be flooded with Belgian football supporters on Thursday. Anderlecht fans travel with a compulsory bus combination for the match against AZ in the quarterfinals of the Conference League.
The mandatory bus combination means that Anderlecht supporters can only travel to Alkmaar by bus. They get on in Brussels and the buses will drive directly to the stadium. So there is no possibility that the Anderlecht supporters will end up in the center of the city for the match. This is only possible if they do not have a ticket for the match.
AZ supporters also had to deal with a mandatory bus combination in Brussels last week. Fourteen buses with more than 1,100 fans left Alkmaar for Belgium. The AZ supporters who traveled along saw their club lose 2-0 in the quarter finals of the Conference League.
