A car was not properly put on the handbrake on Sunday afternoon, as a result of which a passenger who tried to stop the car with an outstretched leg was injured.
The accident happened at around 4.45 pm on Kapellaan in Kerkrade.
slope
The owner of the vehicle, who had already got out, tried to jump into the car, according to a correspondent. Because the car was on a slope and rolled away, that didn’t work. The car eventually came to a stop against a concrete block.
Emergency services
Emergency services, including two ambulances, two fire trucks and the police, quickly arrived on the scene. A person who was still in the car and tried to stop the vehicle with one leg was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
