In the jungle camp, Harald Glööckler (56) spoke to an audience of millions about his marriage problems. As soon as he got home, the moving truck pulled up.

Just ONE day before his 7th wedding anniversary with husband Dieter Schroth (73)!
The two have been together for 35 years and are actually inseparable. At the Opera Ball in Vienna, Glööckler made a romantic proposal to his longtime partner in 2013, and on February 11, 2015, the designer married his beaming Dieter in a hotel in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.
There were no guests and no big party – only puppy Billy King was there as best man.
Wearing rings of white gold, the two men, who met in a nightclub and then stuck together like bad luck, swore eternal love.
When Harald Glööckler moved to the jungle camp, a whole team took care of his sick husband, whose health had continued to deteriorate over the past few weeks. “I was very tense when I thought about leaving Mr. Schroth alone for four weeks,” said the designer to BILD before moving into his jungle bunk. “After all, I take care of everything at home, cooking, shopping, taking care of the dog.”
But in the jungle camp, he revealed that behind the “pompous” facade, all that glitters is no longer gold. He said of his Dieter: “My husband is one of those men who are over 70 and have googled that men die at 76. Since then he has been ill, always ill. He has diabetes, but still eats a lot of sweets, doesn’t move and is getting fatter.” And: “The bad thing is, it pulls you down even if someone is only negative. And it’s only negative.”
Life without his partner has never been an option for Harald, but on Thursday morning the moving truck pulled up in front of the villa he and his husband owned in Kirchheim. Harald had packed his belongings (including suitcases, furniture, lamps and clothes boxes) and moved out of the house they shared.
The goal: his second home, an apartment in Berlin.
Harald’s environment speaks of a “trial separation”, the couple will not celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary together. In different federal states, Harald and Dieter will probably think about how to continue with their once great love.
When asked by BILD, designer Glööckler did not want to comment further on his move, the reason being contractual obligations. And his husband Dieter Schroth could not be reached for BILD either.
Glööckler’s lawyer Oliver Moser said: “My client has not moved out, but is moving into a second home in Berlin in order to focus more on his business from there. But he also wants time for himself and to be alone first. Everything else will show.”

What Harald’s jungle camp colleagues say about the move
In the jungle camp, Harald Glööckler often poured his heart out to his fellow campers, so of course they also think about what is in the bush for him and his husband Dieter.
︎ “I think his husband saw it too, of course,” says Jasmin Herren (43) in an RTL interview. “I could imagine that he also ordered the moving truck for him.” Of course, she couldn’t know that, according to Willi Herren’s widow († 45). “Because I’m not in the relationship. It’s always bad when something like this falls apart. Especially after so many years. But it is also not easy to live with a man in a marriage where one partner is ill.”
︎ “Maybe he also said to him: Let yourself be examined first, stay somewhere else for a week,” muses Peter Althof (66). “Maybe he has to do a quarantine too, we also had to do it in front of the jungle. Maybe he’s afraid he’ll get something or is very sensitive. It could also be that they only had a small dispute, and if he has a second home, he can separate at home and distance himself. Maybe the two will find each other again.”
