Weghorst, who also played for Emmen, Heracles and AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands, transferred to Wolfsburg in 2018 for 10.5 million Euros.
The 30-year-old striker, who shined in the Bundesliga, was sent to Burnley in 2021 for 17.5 million euros after three seasons in Germany.
