BBL table leader Bonn also dominates Rostock

The Telekom Baskets Bonn are still unstoppable in the basketball Bundesliga. On Friday, the leader of the table won against the Rostock Seawolves with 99:71 (54:33) and thus achieved his seventh win in a row.

With a record of 13 wins and only one defeat, the Bonn team will be able to defend their lead in front of second-placed ALBA Berlin after the 14th matchday.

It took Bonner six minutes to get going, but then they pulled away due to a strong defense. At the beginning of the second quarter, they had a double-digit lead for the first time.

The hosts found their rhythm offensively from the outside and scored after a few quick attacks. At half-time, the leader of the table was 54:33 ahead.

A further complication for Rostock was that JeQuan Lewis twisted his ankle just before half-time and was only used briefly after the break. Without their leader, the guests had to keep tearing down.

TJ Shorts in particular turned up the heat at Bonn, and in the end the defensive player had shone with 21 points and twelve assists.

For Rostock it was the third defeat in a row. After a furious start with four wins at the start of the season, the promoted team has now lost eight of the last ten games.
