A Bob Dylan record was auctioned on Thursday for more than 1.7 million euros by auction house Christie’s in London. This is the only recent recording of the song Blowin’ In The Wind†
The 1962 song was re-recorded once in 2021. In the meantime, Dylan has never sung it in the studio. The unique plate is stored in a wooden cabinet. It includes the autographs of Grammy-winning singer, producer Joseph Henry ‘T Bone’ Burnett III and mastering engineer Jeff Powell.
The estimated revenue of the record was 1.4 million euros. The description of the piece states that Dylan wrote the song, one of his biggest hits, in about ten minutes in a cafe in New York.
