The Hamburger SV has extended the contract with goalkeeper Hannes Hermann. The Hanseatic people announced this on Monday. At the same time he communicated HSV also the loan of the 21-year-old goalkeeper. Hermann will play for third division club Jahn Regensburg next season.
HSV sports director Claus Costa explains the decision: “Hannes has developed very well in recent years, both athletically and personally. He has proven his potential both in our U21 in the regional league and with the U20 of the DFB,” he said.
It is now very important for Hermann’s development to “gain match practice at the highest possible level in professional football.” The loan to Regensburg was “exactly the right step.” Hermann was the regular goalkeeper for the HSV U21 team for the past two seasons.
