Beau van Erven Dorens is humiliated by the television viewer. Yesterday there was a massive dropout of his new adventure show The Race for the Rings. “This is really not a good score.”
The new Beau van Erven Dorens show Race for the Rings started two weeks ago with 588 thousand viewers, last week 563 thousand people watched and yesterday the viewer dropped out en masse. Episode three of Beau’s show did not get any further than a pitiful 414 thousand viewers (11%) on RTL 4.
Tina shares analysis
Viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp points out that this is really not good. “Not a good score again last night: 414,000 viewers. It’s not Beau’s fault, but I think it’s the premise. The engaged couples have already won the ultimate prize before the program started: found true love. So: who cares about a honeymoon?”
Actually, Beau’s program is simply not exciting enough, according to Tina. “So it’s a lot, a lot of racing and hassle about nothing. Too little is at stake.”
Beau’s talk show
Because Beau’s adventure show scored so poorly, his talk show Beau also disappointed. Only 464 thousand people (14%) watched it yesterday, not enough for a place in the top 15 viewership.
Today Inside was again by far the most watched talk show of the evening; 874 thousand people (23%). Furthermore, NPO 1’s Op1 (633 thousand and 20%) and Khalid & Sophie (480 thousand and 17%) were the most popular.
Best before
The prime-time winner was NPO 1’s comedy series At least Durable Until with 945 thousand viewers (25%), followed by SBS 6 Today Inside. Prior to VI, Mr. Frank Visser Does Pronunciation 668 thousand viewers (18%), good for bronze in prime time.
The other most viewed titles between half past eight and half past ten were The Great British Bake-Off with 659 thousand viewers (17%) on NPO 1, Nieuwsuur with 459 thousand viewers (12%) on NPO 2 and 112 Today with 389 thousand viewers ( 10%) on RTL 5.
Viewing figures
Programs that also did not make the top 15 include Time for MAX (355 thousand), De Bevers (341 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomeredition (250 thousand).
