“We had bubble insulation under our floors and you could hear them running through those bubbles at night,” says a local resident. “We were the ball pit of the street, we always said jokingly.”
Ultimately, they had the insulation balls from under the floor vacuumed away by a professional party and replaced with other insulation. While vacuuming it, they came across eight rat nests. “Those were whole wads of torn clothes and newspapers. I don’t know how many rat children could come out of that.”
Rat in air vent
Another resident said she had found a dead rat in the bathroom air vent. She saw something hanging and thought it was dust, but it turned out to be the tail of a dead rat.
