The search for a goalkeeper has accelerated in Göztepe, which officially added Irish striker Sinclair Armstrong from Bristol City to its squad during the transfer. After captain Mateusz Lis reached an agreement with the Polish team Lech Poznan, the yellow-reds added Polish Axel Holewinski to their list, as well as Iranian Mohammad Khalifeh. It was noted that Göztepe, which expects 2 million euros of income from Lis’ transfer, will sign a contract with the new goalkeeper as soon as the sale is completed.

It was stated that the technical team looked more favorably towards 21-year-old Khalifeh. It was emphasized that there are serious suitors from his country for the young goalkeeper, who plays for Iran’s Aluminum Arak team. It was stated that Göztepe will give priority to Mohammad Khalifeh, otherwise they will turn to 20-year-old goalkeeper Axel Holewinski. It was noted that Holewinski was on the radar of Göztepe as well as the Czech representative Sparta Prague.
