The case came to light in February 2022, when several parents filed complaints against the then first-grade teacher. According to the investigation, the man in his fifties had massaged students several times and sometimes kissed them on the cheek. He also allegedly went to the girls’ toilets.
The teacher stated that he had no sexual intentions and that he wanted to build an affectionate bond with the children, who had just left kindergarten. He admitted that he massaged shoulders and spine, sometimes under clothing, and that he gave hugs and kisses. He denied other accusations, such as inappropriate touching on the buttocks or getting into a student’s pants.
