Eduard Hallberg22, finished second at the slalom World Cup on Wednesday. Hallberg’s best career finish was seen on the slope of Madonna di Campiglio in Italy.
At the same time, Hallberg pocketed a huge jackpot, no less than 25,608 euros. In alpine skiing, the prize money is notoriously large.
After the first descent, Hallberg led the race, and victory was not far away. French Clement Noel beat the Finn by only 0.12 seconds. The Frenchman received 54,709 euros for the first place.
The first podium finish of Hallberg’s career came at the beginning of the season in Levi. Hallberg, who celebrated in front of the home crowd, was third at the time. With that, he earned 13,968 euros.
He is competing in only his second season in the World Cup.
