A step forward, a shot that can open up special effects perspectives inside the winter market. Juventus knocked on the Reds’ door and did so with a very specific mission: there is the desire to let Federico Chiesa leave until June, the question handed over to Liverpool. An action that follows the first surveys and that gives shape to a possible full-scale operation to be completed within two or three weeks. Chiesa has been living across the Channel since the summer of 2024 when, without any hint of a contract renewal in black and white, he accepted the most evocative challenge: wearing the cumbersome shirt of one of England’s greats. The balance sheet, numbers in hand, can only be colored grey: thirty-four appearances in the Premier League, only two as a starter, 13% of the available minutes played in the current season, four total goals scored since the day of the move. Yet, Federico has not lost that contagious enthusiasm, above all, for a fan base that is in love with the former Juventus player: in the most beautiful and richest championship in Europe, the players who put their soul into it even if called into question for brief periods of matches are the favorites and Chiesa belongs to this noble category.

Juventus knocks on the Reds’ door and the Reds open it: so in the very last hours. A door that the wild card champion of Europe with Roberto Mancini’s Italy has never closed since the very first movements about his name and his possible return to where he has been for four years: in Chiesa, despite the already mentioned relationship of great empathy with the people of Liverpool, the possible encore under the Mole is intriguing, and not a little. The Italian coach has never broken the thread that binds him to Chiesa: in September, October and November, Gattuso called him to announce his intention to call him up, but Federico always replied that he didn’t feel like it because he wasn’t in the best position to help the national team. At the end of March, we will all be on the field with the Azzurri to take what we missed twice, the last times: the World Cup pass.
