The French fashion group SMCP is expanding the presence of its Sandro brand in Latin America. Two new stores have already been opened in the region this month, and more are to follow according to current plans.

On December 10th, Sandro opened his first store in Chile together with local partner Leuru Group. The clothing retailer chose the capital Santiago as the location for its “official market entry” in the country. The brand now offers its collections there in the Parque Arauco shopping center on an area of 142 square meters.

The new opening is “an important step in the fashion house’s expansion strategy” and lays “the foundation for long-term growth in Chile,” according to a statement published on Monday.

Sandro is planning new openings in Uruguay and Paraguay

A few days earlier, the brand had opened its 21st store in Mexico as part of its growth course. The Retail Fashion Group acts as a local partner there. The boutique in the tourist center of Los Cabos is located in the new shopping and cultural area Ánima Village and has an area of 159 square meters.

After Sandro inaugurated its first store in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires in October, the label continued its expansion in Latin America with the two most recent openings. The next steps are already imminent: new stores are planned in Uruguay and Paraguay, the company explained.
