Difference to the Sané case

Serge Gnabry’s sporting future apparently lies with FC Bayern. Like from the “Bild” podcast “Bayern Insider” by Christian Falk and Tobias Altschäffl, the 30-year-old offensive player is about to extend his expiring contract. As is reported, the discussions between the player management and the club are said to be well advanced – an agreement is therefore very close. Accordingly, both parties have reached a “commercial agreement”.
Gnabry has a new two-year contract with Munich until 2028. The national player is said to be prepared to make salary cuts to expand the collaboration. So far, Gnabry is expected to earn up to 18 million euros on Säbener Straße. The new salary will be linked to performance-related parameters, so that the professional can ideally earn 16 million euros.
The basis for Gnabry’s extension is that he feels very comfortable at FC Bayern and therefore wants to stay. The Stuttgart native can therefore live with the new contract model. Those responsible for the record champions would see his concession as a clear commitment to the club.

Gnabry’s future at FC Bayern: The difference to the Sané case
The talks were once said to have been at a similar level with Leroy Sané – but the 29-year-old ultimately decided on a free transfer to Galatasaray in Turkey. Because in the Gnabry case the desire for an extension on the part of the player and the FCB is clearly evident, the chances of a complete agreement are excellent.
After Manuel Neuer (39) and Joshua Kimmich (30), Gnabry is the longest-serving Bayern professional. Since his arrival, he has scored 98 goals and 68 assists in 305 games. His market value of 22 million euros will be slightly reduced as part of the Bundesliga update this Friday.
