A well-known hotel in São José dos Campos, Brazil, was razed to the ground in just six seconds. The building, which had stood on Avenida Nove de Julho since 1976 and was in use until July this year, was demolished in a controlled explosion on November 16. Images recently released show the hotel being blown up. As a precaution, surrounding streets were closed and residents of nearby buildings had to temporarily leave their homes. To limit the amount of dust, plastic containers of water were placed in the building and drones flew above the area spraying additional water.
