After 52 minutes, Dennis Lütke Frie scored the connection, only three minutes later Samuel Bamba equalized, the last goal of the game.
The decision ultimately had to be made on penalties and the BVB youngsters didn’t show any weakness here. Göktan Gürpüz, Kleine-Bekel, El-Zein, Michel Simon and Farouk Kayode Cissé sent Bochum keeper Finn Gregor Kotyrba through and secured a narrow 7-6 win on penalties.
