Earlier this week, Russian basketball was faced with some drastic news. of the junior team of the Moscow CSKA Vladimir Ershov was attacked when the 18-year-old promise was partying in a nightclub, says Sport-Express.
According to the site, the assault took place the night before Tuesday.
The athlete was transported from the night club in serious condition to Ramenskoye city hospital, from where he was later transferred to Moscow.
Eršov is kept in a coma with medication. According to the website, his situation is “moderate”.
The basketball player got into a conflict with a group in a nightclub, which was followed by an assault. The player’s father has filed a criminal complaint about the case.
– We cannot comment on what happened in more detail, because the authorities are investigating the case. Vladimir had a conflict with a group in a nightclub. As a result, a fight ensued with such serious consequences, the player’s agent Tatyana Korovushkina said to Sport24, as quoted by Sport-Express.
When the young man was transported to the hospital, his condition was critical. In the examinations, it was found that the base of Eršov’s skull was fractured.
This season, Eršov has scored 7.3 points, grabbed 2.2 rebounds and made one assist per game.
