Since the Netflix documentary “Babo: The Arrest Warrant Story” was broadcast on Netflix, Hafti’s rap protégés have also rediscovered an established songwriter: Reinhard Mey. The soon-to-be 83-year-old also benefits from the gangsta rapper’s success.

In the “Music Week” evaluation on Friday (November 7th, 2025), arrest warrant was able to place twelve songs in the official German single charts. And Reinhard Mey’s “In My Garden”, released in 1970 on his third studio album “From My Diary”, is making a comeback through an emotional scene in the Netflix documentary.

And how. “In My Garden” enters the singles charts at number 15. This is according to “Music Week” Mey’s highest placement ever. Previously, only “Annabelle, oh Annabelle” (1972, number 29) and “Mann aus Alemannia” (1974, number 18) reached the charts.

Record distance in German chart history

With a gap of 55 years between its release and its first chart entry, “In My Garden” sets a new record. Never before has a German-language song made a later debut.

Arrest warrant comes to Osnabrück – entry from 18: tickets here

Arrest warrant comes to Osnabrück on Friday next week (November 14, 2025) for an appearance. According to the organizer’s press release, this is the rapper’s first show since the Netflix documentary “Babo: The Arrest Warrant Story” was broadcast, which made him a Netflix superstar. The documentary, advertised as ruthless and honest, traces the musician’s life and climbs into the top ten in German-speaking countries.

So now the gig at the Alando Ballhaus in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony. The store can only fit around 2,000 people – so it’s going to be a club show. Admission begins at 11:00 p.m. Tickets are now on sale in advance via the Alando app or online at www.alando-palais.de available. The people of Lower Saxony see Booking Babos as the result of an obvious location advantage. Organizer Frederik Heede from Alando: “We are pleased that arrest warrant chose the Alando for his appearance after the documentary – a sign that Osnabrück has long since arrived on the map of German live culture.”

ROLLING STONE asked Frederik Heede how the booking came about. That wasn’t as difficult as one might think – only because Hafti has now become an even bigger figure. “I watched the documentary on Tuesday morning and immediately thought to myself: I have to have it!” says Heede. “Then I made a few phone calls and it worked.”
