Promoted Stories Dynamo Dresden will have to make do without captain Stefan Kutschke in the next three games in the 2nd Bundesliga.
The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) banned the striker for this period “for assault against the opponent after an act contrary to sportsmanship previously committed against him” in stoppage time of the league game at Preußen Münster (2-2) last Saturday. The association announced this on Monday. The club has already agreed to the verdict.
Kutschke (36) was only substituted in added time (90+2) and five minutes later he clashed with Münster’s Jorrit Hendrix in a running duel off the ball, hitting the Prussian captain with his arm and leg.
With his sending off, Kutschke set an inglorious record: in the history of the second division, never before had a player seen a red card who had been substituted on so late.
Kutschke will now miss Dresden’s upcoming home game against SC Paderborn on Saturday, as well as against Hertha BSC (November 1st) and against 1.FC Nürnberg (November 7th).
