Parys – jurist van opleiding – started zijn political career in 2010 at Open Vld, but started in 2013 de overstap towards N-VA. For the partij zetelt are 2014 in the Vlaams Parlement en bekleedt hij are 2018 de functie van dervoorzitter. In that year it will be sold as gemeenteraadslid van Leuven. Van 2011 tot 2012 was hij as COO actief at Club Brugge.
