From the coming season, the foxes will be missing a long -time player: Lasse Andersson has announced that they leave the club. His goal is already certain. Managing Director Bob Hanning comments.

After the surprising immediate separation from coach Jaron Siewert and sports director Stefan Kretzschmar in early September, the Füchse Berlin now also have to accept a departure within the team – but only at the end of the season: back room player Lasse Andersson will leave the club. The Danish international uses an exit clause in his contract to return to his homeland.

As the club announced on Thursday evening after the 37:32 away win at the Polish runner-up KS Kielce, the 31-year-old will join the Danish first division club Høj Handbold next year. His contract in Berlin originally ran until summer 2026. Andersson said: “The timing and the project of the association give me the opportunity to realize a dream that I had long had.”

The back room player has been under contract with the Foxes since 2020. Last season he was part of the team who was able to celebrate the first championship title in the club’s history.

Managing Director Bob Hanning said: “Lasse informed us about his possible step weeks ago. It is important to respect this for personal reasons.”
