Water crisis
Atsma, Ontuka and Hoogendijk are one of the famous Dutch people who support the action and leave coffee, fresh and alcohol. They can just eat. “Safe drinking water is so important and yet it is a daily battle for one in four people. Especially for women and girls,” said Atsma. “As the father of four daughters, that inequality touches me, for I not only wish them but all girls a healthy life full of opportunities.”
Water was self -evident for Hoogendijk. “Actually, because that is not nearly the case for everyone. Now that I am a mother, it touches me extra that women have to fight every day for clean drinking water for their children. Drinking water only is a challenge, but I love that. I am mainly involved in how valuable water actually is.”
The action week takes place from 3 to 7 November.
