The group of the material continues its business despite ongoing insolvency proceedings in self -administration. The two subsidiaries Stoffhandels GmbH and Hemkon Stoff GmbH from Nordhorn had applied for bankruptcy in their own administration at the end of July 2025. Together with restructuring expert Eric Coordes from the Mönig Wirtschaftslie and the business partner: Inside, close cooperation could be agreed, so that the delivery of goods is still secured.
The material group of the material was founded about 25 years ago and currently operates 39 branches for fabrics, short -designers, accessories and sewing machines as well as two online shops. The group employs around 300 employees and recently achieved annual sales of 13 million euros. Hemkon fabric GmbH operates 31 branches with around 210 employees, while Fabric Stoffhandels GmbH operates eight branches with around 90 employees.
