Kickboxer Stefanie Megerle won the silver medal at the World Games in Chinese Chengdu. The 29-year-old had to give up 4: 6 on the ninth competition day of the games in the final of the weight class up to 70 kg of the Hungarian Andrea Busa.
“Of course, gold was my claim because I had already hit all the fighters in the field,” said Megerle: “But I will definitely be happy about the silver medal at a distance.”
Larissa Gaiser secured bronze in speed skating on the train. The 26-year-old came in third place in points over 5000 m, only the two Colombian women Gabriela Rueda and Gabriela Vargas Sarmiento each collected five points.
