Yvonne Coldeweijer would actually start her new daily juice show on Net5 immediately after the summer, but that will not work. Now she only starts in 2026. “Stuck in Development Hell!“”
It was a big surprise: John de Mol who puts the notorious Yvonne Coldeweijer under contract. It is up to her to give the Net5 some face again. She is going to make a program with Juice every day, but things have already been postponed. She would actually start in September, but that has now been moved to January.
False eric
It is still being worked hard behind the scenes. For example, Eric De Munck was brought in as the editor -in -chief. A daring step, because he leaves the safe nest of RTL Boulevard.
A good catch from Yvonne, says Victor Vlam. He says: “Eric is what you call extremely false. And when I say extremely false, I mean extreme, extremely false. I mean that as a compliment. I also fit well with Yvonne Coldeweijer, who also controls that false tone very well, so I think that is a good match in itself.”
‘Can be flop’
Eric does take a big risk, Victor continues in his podcast Victor explains TV. “It won’t just go off the tube and you can’t say the same for the new show of Yvonne Coldeweijer. That can be a flop. It can be off the tube within three months and then you are suddenly without work, so it’s really a choice for the adventure.”
He continues: “I think this co-explains is that Boulevard is no longer what it has been. In the past everyone wanted to become a boulevard expert. That was really just the summit, but that is no longer the case. They have abandoned that position in the last ten years. The program has become very good.”
Trapper
The experts get little chance to profile themselves, says Victor. “Yes, they are actually some reporters from the RTL news too: just neutral spoonters of the news for the public. There is nothing wrong with that, but yes, you can’t put much of your personality in it. (…) Nowadays you see that they are much more neutral, good faces.”
Apparently Eric doesn’t feel like it anymore. It will take a while before we get to see Yvonne’s juice show. “Is that bad? You could say: postponing leads to cancellation. Stuck in Hell
What do they mean by ‘Stuck in Development Hell’? “That everyone keeps thinking about what the best shape is and that they are tweaking all kinds of things. That can suggest that the original idea is really not that strong, and therefore that you should not try it better. I don’t know if that is the case here. We have to see that.”
“In the end, time will teach us. But yes, I can imagine that you want to think carefully about the translation of a juice channel on the internet to daily television. That is really not that simple. I also think that you are already with a landscape that is pretty full. That is really a puzzle that you have to lay well and carefully.”
