Laura Dahlmeier was seriously injured in Pakistan by a rockfall. The search for the Olympic champion is running. Her rope partner plays an important role.
The search for the crashed Laura Dahlmeier continues. The German Olympic champion was seriously injured by a rockfall on Monday while mountaineering in Pakistan. Dahlmeier was traveling with her rope partner Marina Kraus, with whom she had already climbed the Monte Brento in Italy.
As the Pakistani medium “Dawn.com” reports, Dahlmeier was able to contact Kraus after the stone chill. However, Dahlmeier’s rope partner was unable to physically achieve the seriously injured German Olympic champion.
According to the German Press Agency, Kraus then went on the relegation with other clocks and immediately set an emergency call, whereupon the rescue operation was initiated immediately.
So far, the rescue attempts have been unsuccessful. On Tuesday evening, the search for the 31-year-old was stopped for the time being due to the broken darkness, and it was resumed on Wednesday morning.
However, according to a statement by the Alpine club in Pakistan (short: ACP), Marina Kraus has successfully returned to the basic camp and is said to be healthy and good.
