As “BBC” reports, the 59-year-old is specifically accused of rape, sexual coercion, intentional strangulation, assault and compulsive controlling behavior. The alleged acts are said to have occurred between 2022 and 2024. The police said that an allegedly affected woman is responsible for being looked after by specially trained: inside. Information on the identity of women was not given. The investigation has been running since last year.
Court date at the end of August
Paul Gallagher is scheduled to appear in front of the Westminster Magistrates Court in London on Wednesday, August 27th. So far there is no public statement by the accused. Liam and Noel Gallagher have not commented on the allegations against their brother.
Connection to the band Oasis
Paul Gallagher was never an official member of Oasis, but accompanied his brothers in the background for many years. Among other things, he worked as a DJ, photographer and, according to the tour program, should be part of the band’s current live ’25 tour. In 1997 he published the book “Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis-The Real Story”, in which he gives an insight into the childhood of the Gallagher brothers and their way to fame.
In an interview with “RGM Music” in June 2024, he said: “I live a normal life, I live in the lower middle class.” So far, it has not yet been officially communicated whether he will continue to be part of the current Oasis tour after the allegations.
Comeback after 16 years
The current Oasis reunion has been the first tour of the group in 16 years. She started with concerts in Cardiff in early July 2025 and continued to take the Gallagher brothers and her band to Edinburgh, Dublin and North America after the London shows, where gigs in Toronto, New Jersey, Chicago, Los Angeles and Mexico City are planned. This is followed by two further appearances in the Wembley Stadium and appointments in Asia, Australia and South America.
