He played for Werder Bremen for years, now Marko Arnautović is moving to Serbia. And there he apparently can cash in again.

Marko Arnautović has apparently found a new club. As “Sky” reports, the Austrian international should shortly sign at the traditional Serbian Roter Stern Belgrade – and become the top earner in the club’s history. Accordingly, Arnautović should receive an annual salary of 2.5 million euros.

The 36-year-old has been without a club since July 1, after his contract had expired at Inter Milan. It was only in the summer of 2024 that the strikers had committed the striker loan from FC Bologna for 10.9 million euros. In the past season, Arnautović was largely used as a substitute at the Champions League finalist.

Marko Arnautović played for Werder Bremen (2010 to 2013) in the Bundesliga for three years, scoring 16 goals in 84 games. Now he starts a new chapter in Serbia.
