World Association FIFA moves into the Trump Tower

A year before the 2026 World Cup, FIFA moves into a Trump Tower office in New York. President Infantino thanks Donald Trump – and gives a clear reason.
Almost a year before the start of the 2026 World Cup, the World Football Association FIFA is setting up a new office in one of the most famous buildings of New York. FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Tuesday that the organization will also be represented in Trump Tower in the future.
Infantino also used the announcement for a thank you to US President Donald Trump. According to the FIFA boss, this is “a big football fan”.
According to the Sport-Information Service (SID), Infantino explained: “FIFA is a global organization, and to be global, you also have to be local, you have to be everywhere, so we have to be in New York.” FIFA had previously opened a location in Miami in the US state of Florida.
The step comes at a time when the football world’s gaze is increasingly focusing on North America. The semi-finals and the final of the club World Cup will be held in East Rutherford near New York from Tuesday. The World Cup 2026 will take place from June 11th to July 19th in Canada, Mexico and the USA.
