Praise after loan in 2nd league

Union Berlin has extended the contract with young striker Livan Burcu (20). The step comes shortly after managing director Horst Heldt not only explicitly praised the German-Turks, which was last awarded to 1. FC Magdeburg, but also announced that the concept of the iron. Burcu could now play a more important role here.
“Livan used his loan excellently last season and took a strong development step. He has proven that he has the potential for the Bundesliga,” Heldt said in a club announcement after the contract extension on Tuesday.
Union wants to distribute responsibility more after Hollerbach
In a “kicker” interview published on Monday, the official Union described the attack as “well positioned”. When asked about the previous offensive transfer decisions-the newcomers Oliver Burke and Ilyas looked at the loan, Andrej Ilic and Wooeong Jong-Heldt also emphasized Burcus season performance at the FCM. “I believe that we are wider and flexible than in the past year. Burcu was the best template of the Magdeburg team with nine assists in the past playing time in the lower house. It was the eight -best value. The Frankfurt native scored three goals. “I am very grateful for the trust that Union brings me,” he said after his extension at the old forester’s shop. “The loan last year helped me enormously to develop myself both in terms of sport and personally. Now I’m looking forward to going the next step at Union and taking on even more responsibility on the pitch. I know that I would like to continue to improve.”
Union goes into the season with the overarching goal of “reliable to be reliable in the 1st league”, Heldt explained in the interview on Monday. That is not a matter of course. “The club is on the right track to become a fixture of the Bundesliga. (…) We always want to achieve the maximum, but the maximum is sometimes different. It may be fourth and in the Champions League because others have been weakened. Or it is just relegation.”
