For the second group game at the European Championship in Switzerland, national coach Christian Wück makes only one change as expected. Carlotta Wamser moves into the team for the injured captain Giulia Gwinn.

Otherwise, Wück trusts the players this evening (from 5.15 p.m., in the first and in the livestream), who were also on the lawn against outsiders Poland in the opening game last Friday (04.07.2025). Despite the 2-0 success that was somewhat arduous in the conclusion, the European record champion knew how to convince in particular in the second section. The reason for shinging the rotary machine did not exist for the national coach.

Linder receives preference for Velcro again

The 34-year-old impressively demonstrated that Ann-Katrin Berger is rightly number one in the German housing. In the final phase of the second round, the goalkeeper saved the German team from the connecting goal a few times.

The new captain Janina Minge and Rebecca Knaak form the central defense in front of Berger. Against Poland, the duo had a deep problems with two or three passes of the Poles. MINGE and KNAAK have to buy Harder against Denmark around world-class attacker Pernille Harder. On the right in the defense chain, Wamser replaces the Gwinn traveled to Munich. The 21-year-old came into the game in the opening game after the captain’s injury and showed a brilliant performance.

On the left defense side, the experienced Wolfsburg -based Sarai Linder again receives the preference in front of Munich Youngster Franziska Klett. Despite her only 20 years, the latter can throw in the fire at any time – as the national coach repeatedly emphasized.

Dallmann again in starting eleven, but under observation

In midfield, the 52-year-old relies on the Hearted Duo Sjoeke Nüsken/Elisa Sense on the double-six. Before that, Linda Dallmann can pull the threads again at the offensive headquarters. However: According to her changeable idea against Poland, the Munich native has to come more output for the DFB team against the much more greater Dänninen.

Left wing Klara Bühl also has room for improvement. The 24-year-old only really got going after the break. However, light and shadow changed further. It looked very different with Jule Brand. She broke the spell with the dream goal to 1-0 and prepared the 2-0 by Lea Schüller.

With the goal, that Schüller concealed an overall mixed appearance, in which she spent a 100 percent chance with her foot and head. The fact that the 27-year-old did not let it be put off is evidence of her self-confidence.

The starting eleven of the DFB team:

Berger – Wamser, Minge, Knaak, Linder – Sense, Nüsken – Brand, Dallmann, Bühl – Schüller
