Central defender SOUMAILA COULIBALY leaves Borussia Dortmund Bundesliga club. As BVB announced on Monday evening, the French U20 international moves to his home country to the first division club Racing Strasbourg. The association did not provide any information about the transfer fee.
“Soumi is an excellent boy who has unfortunately had to struggle with injuries in the past. In Strasbourg, he can now sign a long-term contract and return to his home country,” said BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl: “We wish him all the best and above all ongoing health.”
Coulibaly changed to Dortmund in the summer of 2021 from the Academy of the Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain. The 21-year-old played only two competitive games for the BVB professional team, and last season he had played on loan at Stade Brest.
