In January, Ski Ass Tereza Nova fell heavily in Garmisch. In the meantime it was even in a coma. Your way back is not easier.

It was five months ago that the Czech ski racer Tereza Nova fell heavily in the departure training of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The young athlete suffered a traumatic brain trauma and was in a coma. After a month, the Olympic participant from 2022 awakened and has been fighting back to life since then. Now she had to cope with a heavy setback.

On Instagram, the Czech ski association shared a video in which Nova was marked. The athlete can be seen in a wheelchair in it. With a cap on her head, she says surrounded by her boyfriend and other visitors: “I’m glad when you visit me, that brightens my day.”

In addition, the video explains that the implant that was implanted in Nova’s skull ceiling had infected itself and had to be removed again. She herself says combative: “I am still at the very beginning, but it goes in the right direction, so I hope that I will soon run around here like crazy on my own legs.”

Your partner also explains that you now laugh more than several weeks ago. Federica Brignone, silver medalist of the 2022 Olympic Games, commented on the association’s post with a red heart and wrote: “Forza”. The Slovenian ski racer Ilka Šuhec also wrote: “Keep it up.”
