The German kayak four of women still moved into the final at the European Championships in Racice in Czech. Paulina Paszek, Katharina Diederichs, Pauline Jagsch and Hannah Spielhagen won their semi -finals over the 500 m before the UK and Denmark, giving one of three remaining tickets for the finals on Saturday (12.14 p.m.). The quartet had missed the direct final qualification with fourth place in the lead and therefore had to take the detour via the semi-finals.
Compared to the Olympic silver medal in Paris, Spielhagen newly went on board for Sarah Brüßler, and represents the sick Jule Hake in Racice Diederichs. The four of the men had solved the direct ticket for the final run on Saturday (12.05 p.m.) on Thursday. There is the quartet around Schlagmann Max Rendschmidt, Max Lemke, Jacob Schopf and Anton Winkelmann after the triumphs of Tokyo and Paris as well as World Cup gold in Duisburg.
In the semi-finals on Friday, in addition to the K4 of women, Diederichs also solved their tickets for the final runs on the weekend over the same distance in the same distance. This was also achieved by David Töpel in the Canadier over 200 m. In the semi-finals, Moritz Florstedt, on the other hand, are in the kayak-one over 200 m and Estella Damm for women over 500 m, Jakob Thordsen did not compete over the 1000 m.
The European Championships are a stopover for the German racing canoeists this season, the World Cup in Milan is from August 20th to 24th.
