Due to a strike by NS staff, no NS trains in Drenthe and the rest of the country will run on Tuesday. NS reports this, after the VVMC railway union had announced that it would expand the regional strike in the West. NS says “not to be able to offer a reliable timetable”.

According to NS, national impact is inevitable. The carrier regrets the consequences for travelers, a spokeswoman reports. The new strike follows last Friday, when there were no NS trains throughout the country.

The trade unions want the wages of NS employees to rise by 4 percent, plus 120 euros. NS does not want to go beyond 2.55 percent.

In 2022, NS employees were added more than 9 percent and in the previous CLA, which ended on 1 March, the unions and NS came to a wage increase of 6.6 percent on average.
