With a countdown and its lettering “Kraftklub, dying in Karl-Marx-Stadt”, the Chemnitzer have already announced on Friday night (June 6th). At 6 p.m. on Saturday evening the countdown ran and it was true that many had already suspected. Power club came to Rock am Ring for a short, unannounced gig.
Power club at Rock am Ring: Successful mini appearance
Until the end it was not entirely clear where the band would play. Shortly before, it had been announced that the shows on the Orbit Stage would move by ten minutes. This indicates that something could happen nearby. Since the large sign was attached to a crane, hung between orbit stage and mandora stage, many strength club fans made a pilgrimage there. The musicians could then be seen on the LED tower of the Mandora Stage on time at 6 p.m.
Consciously kept
The surprise was successful, but some who stood further back or knew nothing of the small stage showed a little disappointed that the appearance was not transferred via the sound system of the second large stage of Rock am Ring. So they received significantly less.
Overall, Kraftklub played three songs at Rock am Ring am Ring: “One song is enough”, “Songs for Liam” and finally the new song “In every choir”. The fact that they killed the moment with their fans was also shown by the fact that they are probably slightly covered. Because when the viewers’ choir sang to the song, Airbourne started on the Mandora Stage with her sound check.
Kraftklub publish their new album “Die in Karl-Marx-Stadt” on November 28, 2025. In 2026 the band will also come on tour. The rock-am-ring event was the perfect promo for everything the Chemnitzer planned for the coming weeks and months. In Cologne they had already presented their new single on Thursday (June 5th).
