A man who was involved in a arson, last March at a house in Tilburg, goes into the cell. The court in Breda has determined this. The Rotterdammer, KP, was sentenced to a year in prison and another six months are added when he goes wrong again.
A woman, Caitlyn, lived in the house with her daughters. Her ex-partner, the 35-year-old DO from Rotterdam, was already imposed for three months on Tuesday for threatening her. He did this twice in 2022.
On March 31 last year there was an explosion at her house on Grubbenvorststraat in Tilburg. The woman and her children were released with a fright. O. knew no harm of the prince and said that he had a short time in contact with the main resident of the house years ago. During the session, two weeks ago, it turned out that the two had intensive contact for much longer. Even as long as tension came between them.
O. denied that those relationship problems to threats let alone led an attack on her house. He was ultimately not convicted of the explosion, but for the threats in Tilburg and earlier in Capelle aan den IJssel.
Plastic bottle filled with gasoline
The Rotterdammer of 21 was held responsible for the attack with the fire bomb, for which he had been prospected to him. With one or more other people, KP drove that night to Caitlyn’s house. He had a plastic bottle filled with a liter of gasoline on behalf of someone. He then set the bottle on fire and thrown against the house. The facade and the front door were damage.
The woman and daughter slept upstairs and were not injured. Due to the attack they have moved to a different address. They felt there after years of threats and the explosion no longer safe.
The Public Prosecution Service (OM) had demanded that KP would go into jail for three and a half years: it could have been fatally for the residents of the house, but the court believes that there was insufficient evidence for this.
Compensation
The court also did not agree with the contact ban that the OM wanted to be imposed on P. There was no contact between the Rotterdammer and his victims. Moreover, they stay at a secret address. The court did determine that P. must pay a compensation of 1500 euros.
Caitlyn was desperate after the arson:
