FC Basel has canceled the title party in the city after winning the Swiss Cup. The reason is the serious violation of a Basel football fan after an accident at the Wankdorf train station in Bern, as the Doublesieger announced on his website.
After the 4-1 victory in Bern against FC Biel, it was planned that the team will be presenting the fans at Barfüsserplatz in the old town of Basel after their return on Sunday evening.

Railway locked
The railway line between Bern and Olten was interrupted because of the accident, as the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) announced. At the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency, the cantonal police confirmed that you are in use at the scene of the accident. A spokeswoman could not provide any further information at first.
For FC Basel it was the 14th cup triumph and the seventh double in the club history. The former Bayern player Xherdan Shaqiri achieved the meantime 2: 1 with a transformed penalty. Most recently, the Baseler won the Cup in 2019.
