Jong PSV and Roda JC shared the points in a goal-rich match. In the Jan Louwers Stadium in Eindhoven, the game ended in 3-3. At halftime, the Kerkrades were trailing 3-2.
Roda JC only got the first chance after about eight minutes and converted it immediately. Dylan Vente shot the ball against the ropes from a corner. A minute later, the ball was in the goal on the other side when Ismaël Saibari shot the ball from about twenty meters in an attack from the right.
Limbombe scores
In the minutes that followed, both teams had chances. Dylan Vente got the ball from Bryan Limbombe. His swipe went just wide of the PSV goal. Shortly afterwards, Maxi Romero was played by Johan Bakayoko, but Rody de Boer stopped the PSV attacker’s shot.
In the 27th minute Roda JC took the lead again. After Benjamin Bouchouari had been knocked down, Patrick Pflücke took the free kick. Goalkeeper Kjell Peersman couldn’t control the ball, after which Bryan Limbombe tapped the ball in: 1-2.
Right again
The Kerkrades could only hold on to that lead for a short time, because five minutes later the ball was in Rody de Boer’s goal. A cross from Fredrik Oppegård came to Johan Bakayoko, who shot the ball in: 2-2.
Roda lagging
Six minutes later, Ishmael Saibari successfully completed an attack. He chased the ball past goalkeeper Rody de Boer from a distance. Roda had chances to equalize in the remaining minutes of the first half. Davy van den Berg shot wide and a shot by Patrick Pflücke was saved by goalkeeper Peersman.
Second half
Roda tied the score again ten minutes after the restart. Daryl Werker took the ball badly from a corner, after which Stefano Marzo got the chance and shot the ball in at the far post: 3-3.
Opportunities
Roda continued to attack and created opportunities. Xian Emmers was left with a corner from a shot on goal, but goalkeeper Peersman stopped Stefano Marzo’s shot. Davy van den Berg’s shot went wide and Xian Emmers was unable to complete an attack by Patrick Pflücke and Amir Absalem with a goal. Shortly afterwards, Xian Emmers shot the ball into the side net. Patrick Pflücke’s long shot went wide.
Roda JC was also threatening in the final phase, but no more goals were scored. Roda JC retains sixth place in the Kitchen Champion Division with 53 points.
