Hugo, 21, from Porvoo, is a summer rubber artist in 2025.
The summer rubber campaign will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, and this year’s song will feature Hugo’s song for the wrong person, released on Friday, May 23rd.
Hugo’s song tells about love.
– The wrong person tells about a situation where all of us have certainly been – in love and falling in love. When you try to make your best, the subject of your love would fix your gaze and, after all, just have you. I promise that this song will play you all summer long, Hugo says in the release.
The aim of the summer rubber campaign is to share tens of thousands of free condoms during the summer at different events and to distribute young people to be aware of safe sex.
The face of the campaign has been seen over the years, among other things, Cheek, Bess, That and Isaac Sene, Antti TuiskuaHaloo Helsinki!, PMMP and Chlamydia.
– The summer rubber song includes the desire to take good care of the other. Consideration is also to take care of safety in sex. It’s okay to say hey, I’m excited if you can help with the condom or ask another to slow down or interrupt completely. However, saying your own wishes and feelings may seem challenging. We want to encourage young people to talk, says project manager for the Summer Rubber campaign Hanna Soini in the bulletin.
The summer rubber campaign is carried out in cooperation with YleX, the Finnish Red Cross, Cancer Organizations and the Military Home Association. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health supports the campaign.
