The partnership between FC Bayern and Adidas has existed for years. Bjørn Gulden, boss of the company, now irritated with a flippant saying.

This statement by Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden is also likely to ensure a good conversation at FC Bayern. “I earn much less than those who are sitting on the Bayern Munich bench,” said Gulden at the company’s general meeting.

It was an apparently casual comment in the context of a salary discussion, but the sentence was tough. Gulden thus justified his remuneration of 7.38 million euros in 2024 to critical shareholders.

At FC Bayern, such statements may have been accepted with great lack of understanding. After all, Adidas is one of the most important main partners of the record champions, the climbing supplier of the club for decades and is involved in FC Bayern Munich AG with 8.33 percent.

The best connections and a successful partnership have existed between the two parties for decades. Bayern Munich’s current president and chairman of the supervisory board Herbert Hainer was CEO (CEO) at Adidas from 2001 to 2016. And as such was already a member of the Supervisory Board. At the moment Dr. Jan Heinemann, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer of Adidas AG, the mighty committee of Bavaria.

Gulden should therefore be aware of the explosiveness of his statements and the allusion to the concrete salary structure of the Munich. After all, you can read and hear public speculation about it, read and hear anything but loved to.

Jamal Musiala, who last extended his contract until 2030, is said to have increased to the absolute top earners with an estimated annual salary of up to 25 million euros per year. With the possible desired transfer from Florian Wirtz, a similar size could possibly be added soon.

Incidentally, FC Bayern apparently also wants to take advantage of the good connections to Adidas in the desired record transfer. For the 22-year-old, its current club is to call up a transfer fee of up to 150 million euros. As the “BILD” newspaper reports, the Munich team is planning their shareholder Adidas financially in the transfer, and discussions are said to have already taken place.

At least indirectly, Adidas would co -finance the possible mega transfer anyway. The installation contract was extended early by 2030 years ago and is said to be at least 60 million euros per season to FC Bayern – a total of around 900 million euros beyond the contract period.
