A car went to a waiting amount of football fans before the city derby between Espanyol Barcelona and FC Barcelona.
According to the police, 13 people were injured near the stadium, none of them were serious. According to an initial assessment, the police assumed an accident in which an older driver had lost violence over her vehicle, as the newspaper “La Vanguardia” reported.
However, Espanyol’s important football game was briefly confused against Barça. The encounter, in which Barça with the German coach Hansi Flick was able to secure the Spanish championship prematurely, was briefly interrupted a few minutes after the kick -off.
The referee ran to the sidelines and advised himself with those responsible and also a police officer. The game was then continued. The stadium’s loudspeaker system said that nobody was seriously injured.
