Florian Lipowitz has made a name for itself in the cycling scene. Now he receives prominent backing for higher tasks.
Jan Ullrich keeps big pieces on a German cycling talent: “I believe that Florian Lipowitz can ride at the Tour de France in the future. He is a young, very strong driver,” said the only German tour winner (1997) to the sports information service (SID).
Lipowitz had drawn attention to himself with a seventh place at Vuelta in Spain last year. The 24-year-old subsequently convinced with constant achievements in the current season. He landed on the second overall in the Paris -Nizza long -distance journey.
Ullrich follows the progress of the professional from the team Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe. “He is a very stable driver and is increasingly introduced to the captain’s role on smaller tours. He can handle the pressure and has great potential,” he continued.
